The Friday after Thanksgiving is for Bargain Shopping

Black refers to ink color. Most retailers don't show a profit for the year until this day after Thanksgiving. It is also a time for great bargains.

Many of the sales that will be offered on Black Friday are leaked out by all sorts of web sites ahead of time. Lets use the forum attached to this article here to record them.

Black Friday means most retailers don't show a profit for the year until this day after Thanksgiving. They basically cover expenses until the Holiday season then on "Black Friday" they turn profitable (black ink rather than red ink...)

One of the best deals was an HP Laptop PC for $400.

CompUSA had a 14" laptop for $300.

People were waiting in lines overnight at some stores to get these.

Sears had $10 gift cards to first 200 Customers in the Door. I drove by and the line went around the block!
