Global Warming? Is Man to blame or is it a natural phenomenon?

More and more credible people are making a case that global warming is a big problem caused by man. Suggested solutions include cutting fossil fuel energy use in the United States by 90%. A 90% reduction in fossil fuel use will have a huge impact on our lifestyles and investments should we decide to do this. Others claim "global warming is junk science perpetrated by researchers who'll do anything for research dollars to avoid getting real jobs." Somehow, I think the truth is somewhere in between.

I heard the author, Dennis Avery, on the radio yesterday make a good case for his work. Avery said we would have to cut current energy use by some 90% to meet the demands of the Al Gore types who don't know the difference between cause and effect. Furthermore, Avery said the data shows that of the change in climate since 1940, only 0.1 degree Celsius, were attributable to man and the rest was from the 1500-year solar cycle.
